Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 October 2026
Who runs this site
This is the personal blog of Ankit Vijay, at https://ankitvijay.net. If you have a question about this policy or about anything on the site that relates to you, email me at vijayankit@outlook.com.
The short version
This is a static website. It has no accounts, no comment form, no contact form, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking scripts, and it does not set cookies. I do not collect personal information from you when you read it.
Hosting
The site is hosted on GitHub Pages. Like any web host, GitHub receives technical information when your browser requests a page, including your IP address, and may keep it in logs for security and to operate the service. I do not have access to those logs. GitHub’s handling of that information is described in the GitHub Privacy Statement.
Content loaded from other websites
Most pages load everything from this site. A small number of pages display an image or badge served directly by another website, such as GitHub, Stack Exchange, Gravatar or Buy Me a Coffee. When your browser loads one of those, that website receives your IP address and basic browser details, as it would if you visited it directly, and its own privacy policy applies.
Posts also link to other websites. I am not responsible for the content or privacy practices of sites you reach by following a link.
Comments on older posts
This blog was hosted on WordPress.com until October 2026, and readers could comment there. Comments left during that time are shown under the posts they belong to, with the name the commenter chose and the date. Email addresses and IP addresses were not carried over and are not published.
Commenting is now closed. If a comment of yours appears here and you would like it changed or removed, email me and I will do so.
Email subscriptions
If you subscribed to new posts by email while the blog was on WordPress.com, that subscription was managed by WordPress.com (Automattic) under its privacy policy. This site does not hold or use that subscriber list. To follow new posts, use the RSS feed.
Your rights
Because this site does not collect personal information from readers, there is normally nothing held about you to access, correct or delete. The exception is a comment carried over from the old site, which I will amend or remove on request.
Changes to this policy
If the site changes in a way that affects your privacy, for example by adding analytics or comments, I will update this page and the date at the top.
